Ever had a boss who seemed impossible to please?I’ve been there - and here’s what I learned..

I always seemed to have bosses that were hard to please. And I wanted to please them, so bad.

In my eyes, I worked harder than others, I stayed longer hours than others, I ‘saw’ them more than others and I cared for their happiness more than others.

Why?

Because I wanted to be seen somehow and seen for more than just the skillset on my CV.

I wanted them to see something in me.

I wanted them to see how good I was, how capable I was, how dedicated I was and how loyal I was.

And do you know why?

Because I didn’t have a solid sense of myself, at all.

I depended on others to define who I was and how well I was doing in life. And this wasn’t just confined to my bosses.

These days I know that:

I am good.

I am capable.

I am dedicated.

I am loyal.

I am all these things to myself first and so much more obviously.

I am also a bit of a moron sometimes too but that’s for another post  

My point is, I don’t need somebody else to tell me who and what I am.

I know.

You don’t need external validation to know your worth, your value. The real game changer in life is recognising and knowing your own value. This gives you your power back and means you’re no longer at the mercy of others' opinions.

Your confidence, liberation and happiness depend on you out-growing the remnants of your old patterns of behaviour that make you feel on-edge, anxious and powerless.

If you need support and guidance from somebody who walks the walk  - please contact me, I’d be delighted to have a chat with you and help you move towards your own solid sense of who you are and how you really want to live.
